​​$300.00 SCHOLARSHIP AWARD FOR BEGINNING ORGAN STUDENTS

Criteria:

  • Students should have intermediate level piano skills.  Although previous piano instruction is preferred, exceptions may be made.

  • Students must have a recommendation from their piano or organ instructor or from a current member of the Omaha Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

  • Students must study the organ with a current member of the Omaha Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

  • This scholarship may also be used for tuition to attend a Pipe Organ Encounter (POE).

  • Students must write a letter expressing their reasons for learning to play the organ.  Include information regarding musical training (keyboard, choral, instrumental) and about musical program participation in school, church or in the community.

  • Students may be awarded one $300.00 scholarship per calendar year.

  • Instructors may receive one $300.00 scholarship payment per student per calendar year.

  • Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the instructor.

 

Applications may be submitted at any time and will be considered at the next Omaha Chapter of the American Guild of Organists Executive Board meeting.
